A Week of Sunshine

I doubt any of you would blame me for not writing this past week because it was 60 degrees and sunny all week and we spent as much time outside as we possibly could. My bike hasn't been serviced yet this year, but when it does the kids and I will definitely be taking it out on the town. We visited a couple of parks, walked to the library, played in the sandbox, had a picnic which Ærowyn put together and set up all by herself, and just got down with the dirt. Wrævn absolutely loves being outside and gets super excited every time I even open the door in hopes we will be going out.

Ærowyn has not only enjoyed dressing up her dolls and Wrævn lately, but has added Fæd to the list of victims. She got him all ready to go and even let him snuggle with Mimzy her little bunny like from the movie The Last Mimzy which I encourage everyone to put on their "to see" list.

Our FHE lesson Monday was about Nephi and his brothers going back to get the brass plates from Laban and Ærowyn just fell in love with Nephi...so here she is as Nephi/Spider Man singing, "I Will Go I Will Do".

Ærowyn enjoys helping me push the wet clothes into the dryer, and now Wrævn has found interest with the dryer as well. He discovered the light goes off and on, and as quickly as his chunky legs will go he rushes to test it out as soon as he hears the door open.

Toilet Time

I just caught Wrævn playing around in the toilet. I usually don't forget to shut the door. At least it was clean...right? What am I going to do with a kid who likes toilets, outlets, and garbage. What a nasty little boy ha ha ha. I finally put the plungers and toilet scrubber up where he couldn't reach. I am in for it.

Wrævn visited the doctor for his one year appointment yesterday and passed with flying colors. He weighted 21 lb 1 oz and is 30" tall. Ærowyn put on some latex gloves, got ahold of a pen and pad, and a stethoscope and was helping the doctor check him out. She enjoyed being a doctor for a day. When I asked her, "Doctor what's next", she said, "Well, he's going to eat and then get shots". So I followed doctor's orders. I fed him and then the nurse came in and gave him shots...then I had to feed him some more to calm him down :( man I hate that part.

I have updated the kid's pages and even added a new family page with current year pics and info so visit our family website and check them out.

Who wants a Cry Baby when you've got a Wry Baby

Cousin Kat bought Ærowyn a t-shirt a few years ago when her hair was really short and everyone was commenting on what a cute boy we had. It comes from a company named Wry Baby and some of the stuff they have is priceless. If you've got a good sense of humor, or at least you know someone who does, you'll appreciate these unique bits of attire for your wee ones.

My friends Farrah and Josh have found a series of flash cards to help you know how to treat your child correctly. If you check out the above link you will find some similar things as they found. Check out their post.

Happy 1st Birthday to Wrævn!!!!

It was a happy day for our birthday boy. He had more energy today than I've ever seen. It must be that turning one thing. He thoroughly enjoyed his cake as we knew he would. In fact, he didn't want to share any of it, he wanted it all for himself. What a little piggy :) He learned to say "Uh-Oh" on Friday and it is so funny. What a chatter bug he is turning out to be.

Ærowyn was very sad that it wasn't her birthday, but she enjoyed eating cake anyway.
