In addition to ComicLife, Plasq also has a nifty little drawing application for kids called Doozla. Ærowyn played with it for a little while, loved it, and won't stop talking about it so I guess we're going to have to get that software too. But luckily it's really cheap as well. Here is Ærowyn's first digital graphic design titled "It Grows."

Our Comic Life
I found this cool app a loooong time ago, but never got around to playing with it. Well I finally did tonight and it's pretty fun. It's only $30 bucks and well worth it. It's called Comic Life.
I played around w/ it for about 5 min. and came up w/ these 2 results, based on Wrævn's Easter Egg encounter.

What A Star!
Talent show pics are finally here!!! Ærowyn did such a wonderful job. It was her first time in front of an audience, and though she was a little shy at first, she came through and sang "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" with great "star" power. She helped me put together her little outfit and I must say she looked pretty cute :) Video footage coming soon.
This is Ærowyn with her friend Emma.
Nobody loves the bishop as much as Ærowyn.
Ærowyn with her friends after the fact stuffing their faces with rice krispy treats.
Wrævn's contribution was climbing on to the piano bench-all by himself-and playing a duet with his sister.

Death To The Easter Eggs
Today I discovered what happens to Easter Eggs when it is there time to pass on. Now I know what it must have been like for Humpty Dumpty. To see all of our Easter pics (on our website) click here.
"What a sweet little boy."
"Hey what was that? Did something poke me?"
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!"
Oh, the carnage...oh the frailness...oh the bitter end.

I'll Tickle You With My Food
Ok, I know I haven't put up pics of our easter eggs yet! Tomorrow...I promise. Also coming will be details of the talent show.
Friday as I was making rolls and a couple of pies for our weekend of feasts, I said something to Ærowyn about not getting in to the flour or sugar or something because it would make a mess. Well, I wasn't quite expecting the reply and action that I got.
"Mommy, if you say that again, I will tickle you with food." And of course you can't hear her tone of voice, but she was very serious and pointing her finger at me...so I tested my boundaries and said it again. Quick as a wink, she went in to her bedroom and came back out with a chicken leg and half a hamburger bun (play food of course) and began tickling me and saying in a high squeaky voice, "Tickle, tickle, tickle", over and over again. Priceless.

Robot Bones
Last night while we were reading Harry Potter, Ærowyn leaned over-and in an ever so sweet whisper-she asked, "Do robots have bones?" I of course explained that robots are made of metal and don't have bones like we do. It was just one of those questions that just made me smile. I love watching her brain at work sometimes. She has been practicing her song for the talent show on Saturday and is very excited, but really wants to add I Am A Star somewhere in the song. She makes up words to tunes she knows all the time...I just hope Saturday won't be one of those creative moments. We've been practicing and her costume is almost done. It will turn out great no matter what because she is our beautiful girl and we love her :)
Wrævn has a molar coming in and hasn't been too happy the last couple of days. He seems to be a little better this morning so maybe today will be better. His gums are all swollen and he is chewing on his finger so much it's getting all pruney. Poor little guy. Teething bites. He has become quite the observer lately, watching and then doing what he sees us do. Sometimes good and sometimes bad, but good to know the wheels are turning. He loves sweeping, vacuuming, and pulling plugs out of the wall. As I mentioned before he is quite the electronics junky. The other day he was in the office with Brandon and he wouldn't come and see me because he just wanted to type on the keyboard and play with the mouse. You know it's pretty bad when your baby chooses a computer over you.
We will be coloring our eggs tonight after Brandon gets home from work. Brandon and I were wondering how the Easter Bunny came about so I decided to look it up. You can check it out here. Talk about superfetation. It was also very interesting to read about the Easter Holiday. Remember, Knowledge is Power.

I don't want the chicken to die...GULP
Within the past month or so Ærowyn has discovered that when she is eating chicken and hamburger that the meat actually comes from chickens and cows. It's pretty funny because she will say, "I don't want the chicken/cow to die", right before she takes a big bite!! Brandon and I just crack up laughing at her. What a kick in the pants.
Wrævn has really started climbing on everything now. He has learned if he drags something small next to something big he can get onto the big thing...Ærowyn's bed, our coffee table, and couch. Luckily he is good at getting down backwards so I don't have to worry about him taking a nose dive. I'm sure it won't be long until he is jumping down and that will be a whole new world of adventure for him.
Ærowyn is getting ready for our church primary talent show. It took 2 days for her to decide what she wants to do, and she has decided to sing, "Twinkle, twinkle, little star." She is going to help me make a little costume of stars that she can wear. We are going to practice all week so hopefully she won't get silly in front of everyone. I'm not worried about her being scared...hello...this is the girl who goes up to complete stranger and wants to play ring around the roses with them. She can't resist a mic so I'm sure stage fright won't be here problem. Getting her to focus is another story, but we'll work on it.
This past weekend was great. Brandon got to have a daddy daughter night with Ærowyn. They watched Over the Hedge, ate fish and chips and played the X-Box. Wrævn and I went up with the YW of our ward to a cabin and had a Book of Mormon retreat. It was amazing and the spirit was so strong. We have some pretty amazing YW in our ward and I love to hear their testimonies of Christ and how knowing him makes their lives better. I took some pics that I will have to add to the post later (and then I will delete this sentence). I'm glad I was able to go and get to know the girls and leaders better. I won't be able to go to girls camp because it's far away so this was a great opportunity for me. I have been in YW's 3 times since I've been married and haven't been able to go to camp once yet!!! One of these days I will get to go again. I sure miss it. I called my mom after the retreat and told her how much different it is being a leader instead of one of the girls. They are silly and giddy and loud and crazy...just like I was at their age. I can't believe how quiet and reserved I've become. It makes me sad in a way. Maybe some of the craziness will find it's way back out again one of these days. Wrævn had a good time with all the girls, but was a bit confused about all the snow as you can see.

Feeding The Monster
So I decided to let Wrævn feed himself some yogurt the other day. He's not really ready, but I thought it would be funny. He actually did pretty well the first 5 or 6 spoonfuls, but then it got messy...

A friend of ours has been installing new windows and let Ærowyn fire the nail gun. She thought it was pretty cool. I'm sure Wrævn would have been in on the action too, but I figured we would save that one for when he is a little older.
I found out my brother and sister-in-law welcomed a new baby girl into their family this morning!!! Congrats go out to them. It must be that I'm getting older and wiser (ha ha ha) but family is so important and I sure feel thankful for the closeness that my family has. We had Stake Conference this past weekend and the main focus seemed to be on how important Eternal Families are. Going to the temple to be sealed for Time and All Eternity is what it is all about. I'm sure glad I married my best friend and will get to be with him forever...and my family :)
